Year 7 House Shout Competition

On Monday Year 7 spent the day in their houses practising and rehearsing for a singing competition in the afternoon. They learnt about vocal warm ups and practised a different song for each house. In the afternoon they came together as a whole year group, with over 200 pupils singing a round of 4 different songs – the gusto of the terraces yet the beauty of choir angels!

Then came the serious moment – each house performed their rehearsed song to the two esteemed judges – Mr Purvis and Ms Locke. After much deliberation whilst the students sung and stamped along to Shotgun by George Ezra the decision was made. Peake House took the singing competition by a whisker from the other houses.
